Editioned SHAMS Art Print: Until you made me sing, I was a monk

$50.00

This original print by Sara Baumann was created to accompany the SHAMS movement titled Until you made me sing, I was a monk. A young girl launches a red paper airplane (هواپیمای کاغذی | havāpeymā-ye kāghazī)—a symbol of innocence, fragility, and becoming. The red speaks to emotional intensity and the vulnerability of transformation.

The artwork is inspired by the final line of Rumi’s verse:
"بازیچهٔ کودکان کویم کردی"
Translation: "Now I’m a toy that children toss aside."
It reflects the ecstatic undoing of ego in the presence of divine love and creative awakening.

—
Highly limited: Editioned to 20.
12x16" Giclée print on archival matte hot press paper.
Signed and numbered by the artist.
Ships rolled only — we recommend flattening upon arrival and framing in a 12x16 frame or a 16x20 with mat.

Please allow up to two weeks for your order to be shipped.
